I've made a few of these. It folds up on itself, taking very little space.

Looks good. What wood do you use? How much does it weigh?

I made three buck saws myself, that I used early on for portage clearing. For that type of work, it just wasn't a handy option, having to take them down after every portage. Now they set on the shelf. I'll give them to the grand kids some day.

I used ash. Couldn't say on the weight. It wasn't too bad, but it couldn't compare with some of the aluminum framed saws on the market as far as weight.

What type of blade does one buy in order to make this saw? and where are they commonly? easily found?
