Sounds like a great trip despite a few injuries. One of the learning opportunities for the girls is to cope with problems that come out of nowhere on a canoe trip. It was nice they really didn't have to deal with bad weather. The pics are cool too, I love the shot of the wading portage. Thanks for the post.

Well said Tom. Afterwards I told them that while I hadn't wanted anyone to get injured, it was one of my favorite parts of the trip. When the injured carried on to the best of their ability without complaint, and everyone else stepped it up even a little bit more to get things done. All without coaching from the adults and all with everyone maintaining a great positive attitude. This really showed me how much the trip had matured them.
