Fire lookout towers

someone from the ccbb wrote a book on all the artifacts in the BW but the forest service asked them not to publish it. They said a book like that would ruin the artifacts by thoughtless people. When I remember who that is I'll let you know. All you have to do is email them and they tell you what to check out on our next bw trip

Actually, if you read through the artifacts thread, Wilderness Mama (Heather Monthei) mentions that very thing. I'm sure she's the person you're referring to.

Found this old barrel as well as a syrup bottle that dated to the 1930-40s near the campsite located on the island located at the NW entrance to Friday bay of Crooked Lake.
