I got "Bound for the Barrens"

The journal of Ernest Oberholtzer & Billy Magee 2,000 mile canoe voyage to Hudson Bay in 1912.

mocha,
A Wonderful Country is a very enjoyable read. I even referenced it in one of my trip reports. The Ribbon Rock

well, i'm 1/2 way through 90 degrees north and am amazed with each new chapter of the perseverance (and idiocy) of the men back in those days.. i won't say more in case anyone else plans to read the book.
the two that are next after this are The Ice Master by Jennifer Niven (the doomed 1913 voyage of The Karluk) and Shackelton's voyage to the antarctic.

1/2 way through the Book of Mormon, and haven't started A Wonderful Country yet. that will be my April book when spring should be happening.

Shackelton's account is good. So matter of fact telling of such dire circumstances.

quote TuscaroraBorealis: "I got "Bound for the Barrens"

Where did you buy it? I can't find it on amazon or any of the other online booksellers' websites, even though it's a 2012 book.
