Seems like fate has a plan for me. I had a 12x20 barn built this fall and they left me a whole bunch of scrap lumber and a couple of 16 foot 2x6s I can use for the strongback. Now they are building on the lot next to me and the builders have no problems with me salvaging scrap plywood for forms. With the basics all free how could I possibly say no to a new build?
Speaking of that, does anyone have a copy of the NW Canoe builders notes? I can't find my copy and even though they have all their plans online I can't locate a copy of the book.
NOTES ON THE ART OF BUILDING THE CEDAR STRIP CANOE. Copyright Northwest Canoe Co, Inc April 6, 2002
I looked at their WEB page and I cannot find a link to the note book. I down loaded my copy in March 2010 and that was free of charge. I don't have a problem sending you the PDF. But, I am not sure of the legality of sending the PDF to you.
I doubt NW would raise a stink (but they do have a copyright). To be on the safe side I contacted them for an OK.
