That was a great trip report--lots of adventure, lots of weather, lots of learning going on, and lots of family dynamics, with some fun woven into the tapestry. What a great bunch of memories you made in just eight days! Thanks for sharing.

Great Report, I laughed a LOT! I have not done the Falls Chain, but I heard it is beautiful! I know one thing, none of you will EVER forget this trip, and what a happy ending.

Not last year, there was a trip a few years back where someone forgot his fillet knife and stringer :) and I live to fish and eat fresh fish. Don't know how I did that. I also locked my keys in my car the night before the tow :) That's all for entertainment purposes not any flaws from me....

Good times! So they survived, got married, and even let you come to the wedding . . . BUT, will they return to Quetico?? :-)

Very entertaining report. I've got two younger brothers and like you they don't listen to anything I try to tell them. :)

I'm curious to know if the other couple will ever go again too. Thanks for the laughs.

Surprisingly they say they really want to go again. Angie saw a clearance Hooligan deluxe portage pack (nice looking pack BTW) in Grand Marais and almost bought it. My brother has a new job and very limited time off this year so they won't go this year. They are doing a delayed Honeymoon sometime this year, he has a week long fishing trip with myself, Dad and the other Brother---only leaves him one week for sick time.

Time will tell if they make it back. I told them before they went even if they hated it, there will be memories for a lifetime. Didn't disappoint.
