I'm very indecisive lol. I currently own a SOG Seal Pup fixed blade knife but I'm looking to get a folding knife for simpler tasks. I've narrowed it down to the following two knives, and I'm just looking for some opions. My main use for the knife would be basic camp chores (feather sticks, cutting meat/veggies, cutting cord etc).
CRKT Foresight
Boker Exskelibur
Size and weight is not of concern to me. I'm leaning towards the CRKT but I'm not sure if the blade shape would suit my needs as good as the Boker.
Any thoughts?

Greetings Steve, Either knife or brand you list makes a reliable, well made product. I have several knives from both manufactures and have no complaints at all.
If I may offer a thought though, Have you considered a small to moderate size fixed blade knife, especially of Scandinavian origin? A blade length of 3-5 inches. They are superb tool for outdoor duties, as well as supremely light weight. You also have the advantage of easier clean up than a folder and virtually 0 probability of an injury related to the use and occasional failure of locking mechanisms related to folding knives. RagweedForge.com is a website that has a good selection from about 9 different manufactures.
Also regardless of the knife you select if your going to buy brand new check knifeoutlet.com his prices are generally hard to beat, if you have a little time and your looking to increase your stock of knives check the local gun show, lot's of great knives, and other gear, can be found there as the general focus of those attending is to buy firearms and the like, and you can bargain with the seller as opposed to buy-it-or- don't of online shopping.

Ok but if you go to a site like Ragweed Forge, learn what the different makers have to offer, and if you see something you like you can probably find a supplier in your own country. One of the finest knife makers today is Grohmann which is based in Canada. Two of their current production knives in an art museum in NYC.

I think the Boker is the better of the two, but both decent knives. Another consideration if you do decide to get a folder and not a fixed blade is locking mechanism. It may be the most important consideration. A folder will never be a fixed blade but it you want it to cross over into its capabilities its something to give strong consideration. Unarguably the axis lock is the the strongest lock out there which I believe benchamade has patented....also makes them ambidextrous and single handed open/closers.....
May be worth looking at the Benchmade 710
Smart to get stainless too, if it folds it can't be cleaned as easy...so be-careful if you get a tool steel or semi-stainless (D2, cpm's, ect, although I have D2 folders personally....just all depends on what you want to do with the knife

I picked up a Gerber Gator in 1997, it was an impulse buy and cheaper than the Buck knife I was looking at. A half hour after I got home I hated it, it just felt light and weak. So I took it out constantly and used and abused it trying to break it so I could justify getting rid of it. I couldn't put a dent in it, of course I promptly fell in love with it and used it for years, passed it on to one of my sons who still puts it to regular good use. "Shock" is right 100% it's a great knife for the money.

Both nice knifes but I would choose benchmade over those any day for the price your looking at. I think his name was kennek that referred me to the doug ritter benchmade. (Sorry if I got your name wrong) but it is proboly the best folder I own. I own tons of expensive knives but the doug ritter is by far proboly my favorite folder if not favorite knife. Its about 120ish but it has a bad@ss blade shape and its s30v. Its as sharp as a light saber and has a really tuff blade shape. I would post the link to it but I'm on my phone, but go to dougritter.com and check out the doug ritter griptillans. Amazing knives and you can't go wrong with one. Also I got the orange handle 1 so if I drop it, its easier to find

Another vote for the Gerber Gator. I have the straight blade.

Not what you asked but just to throw in my 2 cents: I have an Ontario Rat 2 that I've found to be an excellent deal. Small enough to not get in the way and the clip is excellent so it pretty much lives on my belt and is always handy when I need it.

Of those two, the obvious choice is the Boker, IMO.
The Boker has a much more user friendly blade and handle shape. The CRKT has a recurve blade that will be harder to sharpen and a molded handle that really limits the ways you can hold it.
If you're considering other knives, my personal favorite would probably be the Spyderco Delica FFG. Very light and comfortable and great at all EDC tasks. Unfortunately I've misplaced mine so I have been carrying a Spyderco Native.

Kennk (Ken K) here,
Yes, the so-called Rittergrip is a semi-custom knife that is made for Doug Ritter (equipped.com) by Benchmade based upon the Griptilian but with a different blade material and shape. The Rittergrip is now pretty famous and very well liked, BUT it is being discontinued by Benchmade, so now is THE time to buy the remaining knives.
You can only buy them from Knifeworks.com. Look for the Ritter RSK Mk1 or the Mini RSK Mk1. I have several full size and several mini's and will not use any other folder.

All is not lost, however! On KennK's recommendation, I bought one of the RSK Mk1 knives - I like it a lot!

Thanks for pointing it out that a spammer revived this thread. I deleted his posts, but the thread can live on. It's worthy.
