Author ~ Ernest Oberholtzer (edited by Jean Sanford Replinger with Nancy Paddock)
Pages ~ 248
Published ~ 2012
The journals of Ernest Oberholtzer of his great 1912 voyage (with his Indian friend/guide Billy Magee) to Hudson Bay.
A great adventure unfolds as these 2 paddle north into uncharted territory towards Hudson Bay. Photos that Ober took along the way are included in the book. I think the fact that there was a 34 day stretch where they encountered NO other humans, best exemplifies how wild of an adventure this was.

vickieh69, when you responded to Mocha's quote above, does it really matter, I just commented, I don't like reading off of a Kindle. My wife has one and I tried it. I would rather read out of a book. The book Bound for the Barrons does sound good.

Hence the clarification to my original post. I can/do completely agree that people do have PERSONAL preferences in how they read. However, my point is.......start a new thread if she is truly wanting to know how the forum members like to read. Her question was specifically directed towards the thread starter and not the forum members.
IMO----She is digging for personal information on one individual. Yes, you can say it looks innocent. While in and of itself it probably would be..... I will just leave it at that.

Since I'm planning on using one this upcoming season....Another fascinating (to me) thing I noted in this book, was the fact that Ober mentions when they reached Hudson's Bay they encountered an Eskimo using a double bladed paddle.

Didn't think a book thread could turn ugly, and be a place for unfounded, slanderous accusations, and personal attacks...but I guess I was wrong. There have been a lot of mean spirited posts on this site lately, and it's inappropriate, disgusting, and tiring Sigh
