I found that trip report while researching for a trip that never happened. If you do it take pictures of the relics.

I enjoyed reading the article, as all of them are good friends of mine (being an old Charlie Guide myself). It is a long standing tradition of venturing off the beaten path an into new territory!

Back in my day I used to take trips like that. Now my canoe partners take their younglings and we do "easy" trips. I don't complain tooooo much because I enjoy teaching the younglings about one of the greatest places in north America. I have been looking at doing a good solo sometime soon to get back to the explorer mode. Be sure to do a trip report, am curious.
