My wife was in an invitational exhibition at the Minnesota Marine Art Museum in Winona (great town, great museum!!!) It's a big canoeing town and the Upper Mississippi Fish & Wildlife Refuge is right there--tundra swans were starting to come in, along with thousands of canvasbacks, pintails, mallards, gadwalls, teal and pelicans. My brother and I and another canoeing buddy lucked into a private tour of the Wenonah canoe "factory". Even though we didn't meet Joe Cichanoski it was cool, to say the least--he's got some really enthusiastic employees.
