Still have a lot of learning to do, but this is my first foray into making folders.
My own Damascus, all hot-blued frame and springs - all parts made by me, except screws.

The Bakelite makes it an instant classic. Beautiful lines and design. What is the OAL if I might ask?

I'm curious where the bakelite came from? Did you have something that was made of bakelite and cut it down?

I got a large sheet of it that is 1 1/8" thick. It was used as a backer on a wall in an office building to which was bolted all of the fuse boxes in 1909.
Bakelite was invented in 1907.
