Very nice thank you. If you're going to do a trip on a whim, why not do the drive I say. It beats the pants off of dealing with the cities crowd. I'd be a bit nervous getting up so late. I'm always worried about not finding a campsite and then ... what are we going to do?

Great idea - so glad it worked out for you.

Definitely needed to swim up there this Memorial Day - way too hot for May. If you stop at thigh deep, it will cool down your body enough that you don't feel you need the full immersion, but then you don't have that "refreshed" feeling afterwards, lol.
