So I was asking my wife if she had a jello mold last night thinking, why not take one and give it a shot. So she starts digging through this box and pulls out a perfect lightweight aluminum fry pay with a matching locking pie tin lid. I was like, are you kidding me? Why didnt you tell me you had this stuff? LOL

And oh yeah, she had a jello mold to boot so, were baking in the bdub in 16 days. First time. :) Thanks for bumping the jello mold thread whoever it was.

You are welcome :) We're getting ready for a trip next week! My husband's the baker in camp, I'm the baker at home. Have fun experimenting.

I suggest a practice at home. Worked fine on a gas stove burner. Low and slow will bake and not burn center.

If I can find time between studying for finals this quarter and panic packing for our trip in 14 days, I definitely plan to do that. Do you recommend and easy mix to try for a first run?

Brownie mix maybe?

Jiffy or other water only muffin mixes. Grease jello mold - I use parkway squeeze margarine. Cornbreads good too - goes well with zatarins.

I use some Crisco to grease the pan. Be sure and use a heat diffuser on the stove.
Use something like Jiffy cornbread mix or a muffin mix.

On my MSR Dragonfly, I've never used or needed a difusser. I'm sure Crisco is probably, I use parkay for everything so I only have to pack and carry one item.
