Sounds like it was a nice trip. Every other year is pretty good when you are coming from that far away. I also had a Whippoorwill on my last trip. It is a calming effect at night. It was the first time I had ever heard one or heard of the bird. My dad laughed when I asked what it was. He just said "he is saying it".

It was definitely "spring" time. Between the grouse, who must've been bald by the time we left, and the whippoorwill all night long it was like an animal kingdom episode out there. Lol.
