Last night I tried a Not Your Father's 5.9. If you like regular root beer, you'll like this. It's hard not to drink it fast like any soda pop which means quicker intoxication. Not judging, just saying.
I didn't see 10.7 or 19.5 in the store. If I do, I'll give them a try.
Other brands in the store (BevMo) were Coney Island and Mission.

Yeah. That's sort of where I'm at.
I currently have a new mead and a new apple cider (blood orange tangerine) sitting on the counter. The label says the cider won a gold medal at some competition. I'm always trying new stuff so I don't get bored with my favorites.

I had a sample at the beer store a while ago and liked it so I got a 6 pack. First bottle I really liked the first half of the bottle but then it got old. Same thing on bottles 2-6. It took me a couple weeks to go through the 6pack.

that's a good reason to buy one bottle if you have that option.

Wifey picked up some Root Beer yesterday and I had one this afternoon after I got the garden cleaned up. That single pint was plenty. It's from Root Sellers. They also make a Ginger Beer.

I'd been planning to have a root beer float at the local brewery for the last year. I finally got around to it earlier this week. Southgate's product is non-alcoholic but has a really strong root beer flavor.

I'd never have thought of that (Imperial stouts). Sounds good and I'll probably get around to trying it.

Exactly what we did with most of the 6-pack. Still found myself asking, "Am I looking for a great root beer taste?" (Schell's 1919 would be better.) Or am I just giggly about alcohol content in a soft drink?

My wife told me an amusing story about her grandparents. They were of a religion that forbid alcohol and dancing. They would not even watch Lawrence Welk because of the champagne bubbles.
My wife's grandfather was quite proud of the root beer he produced. Once when her family was visiting, my wife and brother, both quite small at the time, were given glasses of root beer. After a short time their father came over and took a taste from one of the glasses. He then took the two glasses away from the kids without saying anything. He also said nothing to the grandfather.
It was many years later that my wife was reminded of the story by her parents and the explanation given. The root beer had gone hard and the alcohol was obvious. Evidently, the grandfather didn't recognize the taste of alcohol.
