Hmm. Fish where the Darky enters Minn. There is a 5 star campsite right there as well. We caught Walleyes, Smallies and Northerns there a few weeks back.

If you're planning on going up the Darky River, be in great shape - the water is high and the current swift - we had to navigate a number of sweepers as we were heading downstream from Darky to Minn.

There's a great site on a northern island in McIntyre. There's 2 sites on it but the eastern one is very nice.

Sounds like a great route but will be demanding for sure. Take it easy on the portages after Sarah. There's a couple of up and down doosies going south of there. Have a great trip!

Here's our short list of things we forget and wish we hadn't;

Sponge--for bailing h2o
Benadryl
Epi Pen (maybe)...if we bring cashews.
knit cap for sleeping
small sharpening stone/rod
Roid treatment (bullets)--heavy lifting is not for a-holes.
Extra card for camera.
small roll of duct tape
small thing of 2 part, 5 min epoxy.
spare parts for stove (maybe).
Tiny little reel repair tool kit.

We're going in on the 20th and will be 15 miles east of you. If you need anything, give a howl. Honestly, it's hard not to catch fish where you're going. If it looks like a good area to catch fish, it probably is.

Have a great time!

Hey Fishguts,

I just e-mailed you a list I put together last year while I had nothing better to do but wait for the big Q trip. Check it out, I hope it helps. It is an excel file. Let me know if doesn't come through.

Good luck on your trip. I should be rolling into Ely on the afternoon of June 27th with my son and girlfriend, let me know if you would like to meet somewhere and share fishing tips, stories etc. We will be going through the Sarah, Brent, William, Conmee, Susanette, area.

Just returned yesterday from a loop through Prairie Portage through Agnes, Silence, Traut, Kashahpiwi, Yum Yum, Shade, North Bay, Burke, and a few No Name Lakes and rivers back to PP. Tow down Moose.
The PP ranger said some of the old timers don't remeber the water being this high since 1968 when the dam went out at PP. Bring a head net. Enjoy - I can't wait to go back.
