I'm going in on 9-6 from Sawbill. It's my first solo and I'm kinda new to the BWCA and this site. Just got my flying moose decals in the mail today and will be proudly displaying them. I'll be in a green Wenonah Vagabond.

Mark welcome to the site and thank you for donating. A word of advice don't do that first solo because I think soloing is very addictive. Please let us know how it went, it's always good to hear how that first solo went. Trust me you will not make any more mistakes than the rest of us have [although some wont admit to them] Three things I will stress, always tie up your canoe any time you get out of it, if it looks to rough to paddle DONT, always wear your PFD and one more for good measure carry an extra paddle. Have a safe trip. FRED
Grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked, the good fourtune to remember the ones do, and the eyesight to tell the differance.

Headed to Cherokee and that area on 9/4 from Sawbill and then down through fire chain later in the week to come out.

Thanks, I appreciate your advice and will follow it. I want to thank all of you that take your time and share your knowledge and experience with us, less knowledgeable and experienced, paddlers. I have learned so much through this site that I feel very confident about this trip. I'm looking forward to a great time.
One thing I've learned already is..if you want to make the summer drag by, schedule a September trip!!

Without the bad times, the good times wouldn't seem so good.

I'll be a in rental from Sawbill. Not sure what we'll end up with but right now they've got us in a Wenonah 17. I'm a tall, fat goofy looking guy tripping with a shorter pudgy goofy looking guy and a handsome dog. We shouldn't be hard to miss. Staying there at the campground Saturday night in site 33.
I'll look for you in your cedar strip.

Changed my entry date to 09/04. I was able to free up my work schedule a few days early so I'm leaving this morning for Sawbill. I may have to sleep my car in the parking lot, but I don't care. My plan is to do the Little Saganaga East loop and come out on Saturday 09/10. Hope you all have a good trip and I'll watch for flying moose.
