So, this may be the wrong thread, but it is somewhat looking for a partner...?
I'm wondering if anyone would want to do a vehicle swap from Ely/Gunflint cross BWCA trip? For example, I park at EP 30 or so and you park at EP 50-52ish. We cross the entire middle section of the BWCA and take each other's cars and meet back at Duluth. Anyone game for this type of idea? Adams lake would be a great central place to meet to ensure we've got vehicles waiting on the other end. Our time frames don't have to overlap perfectly as I am able to wait in Duluth for a few days after the trip. Looking for a mid-late May timeframe while water levels are still (hopefully) high.

That sounds like a much easier plan. Thanks for the recommendation. Now...to find a willing partner to trade with...?

ANY plans yet? I could possibly meet where you plan to take out and bring you and your gear to the put in. I'd likely do some paddling on one or both ends. No charge... just a friendly offer. Just so you know... Frenchy19's wife refers to me as cannibal Ben... haha! I kind of need things like this to do. My paddling days have been few and far between because of health issues and I got another biggie coming up... the big c...

Ben, Are you ok? You sort of dropped a pretty big statement in this post. Hope all is well. - Keep up posted - especially if we can help in some way.

This is an amazing offer! Thank you so much. I haven't planned my next trip when this shuttle would apply, but I'd guess it would be post permit season sometime in October. I've since this post committed to doing the Voyager Challenge so this will most likely be a recover/relaxing trip where I'll actually bring a fishing rod.
I'm sorry to hear about your paddling restraints. I'll keep you in the prayers for a smooth procedure and strong recovery. Again, thank you so much for the offer and we will be in touch. If there are any treats/items that you want me to bring from the cities I'll be more than happy to!!!

I'm going to be firing up this idea again for sometime in later May/early June of 2020. I'm fine going either direction and will take the advice of trading vehicles before going in unless anyone, Cannibal Ben, is still interested in shuttling. Lots of time to plan and I need to get the 2020 PTO on the calendar so I have some paddling to look forward to.

Howdy HayRiver. I just tried to resend my email as I didn't hear back yet. Hopefully as is well. Happy Holidays.
