We decided to explore the famed cave of Antoine on the way out and took a few pictures there.

The rocks there were cut so straight, it almost looks fake. We thought the height was just right for the gravity filter to produce some water that we would need for the portage out.

The portage out was again tough, and Brian slipped on one of the rock sections, spraining his ankle. I took a picture of it later in the trip.

I was relying on my memory for good campsites, and I was thinking that there was a good one somewhere east of the mouth of Loney Creek. When we saw it, we knew it was a keeper, as it had what I really like in campsites: good elevation, a good swimming spot, great views, and open piney areas. I'd definitely like to stay there again. After lunch and setting up camp, we were ready for a dip as the weather had turned downright hot (probably in the 80's). This was our third swim on this trip, and we hadn't gone at all on either of the last two trips. We broke the fishing rods out and again enjoyed good success with the walleyes. Greg picked up a 26.5", which proved to be the biggest of the trip. Again, several were caught over 20". This proved to be the first evening where we really encountered any wind, but it eventually died enough so our paddle back to camp wasn't bad. We all were hoping that the wind Gods would continue to be good to us, as we had to paddle across the main body of Sturgeon the next day. We kept a couple of smaller 'eyes to put in our fish chowder, which we enjoyed with fry bread.
