Wednesday, July 01, 2009 Headed through the series of portages and into North Bay looking to get a little closer to Prairie since our pick up was around noon the following day and we did not trust the wind. The portages were a little tougher today and there were a number of them including an additional two since we took an incorrect one into a lake that we did not recognize on our map and realized we had made a mistake. We made camp on a well used campsite on North Bay, gathered some wood, and pulled together what we had left for dinner including a mixture of freeze dried meals, tuna and chicken, etc. Early to bed again, no point fishing, it’s still in the 40’s or 50’s. Everyone wanted the last of the biscuits and gravy even though it is a little messy to make. I decided to get up early and get it done so we could get started on time.
