Bought supplies, cooler, lunch/ breakfast stuff. Working out of motels and very remote areas, we had breakfast and lunch nearly everyday in the hotel or car, or packed in day packs. Saved a lot of time and some money. But for lunch, there really weren't any other choices.

Went to dinosauer museum in St. George. Large number of very rare tracks found by individual, including one of a kind multiple part walking track. Site turned into museum. Neat small place.

Onto Zion National, Sprindale Utah. Stayed at Cliffrose motel, beautiful place on the Virgin river, great grounds, incredible views, pool, hot tub, highly recommended. Checked in, rented zion narrows equipment, went to the park. Shuttle system once inside park, very efficient, just takes extra time to move around park, but obvious the only way to deal with visitor traffic.

Hiked the Emerald Pools trail, good introduction, scenic, shaded, 3 miles, 400 feet elevation change. Upper pool very neat, waterfall fills it.

Ate at Whiptail grill, excellent home made food, for lunch, Zion noodle company pizza for dinner, was good as well.
