Day 3 of 6
Friday June 1, 2012 Today we got up and had some french toast for breakfast and packed up and headed out. Our goal was Moose Camp Lake. We made it there with no problems in very little time. The 10 rod portage from Bullet Lake to Moose Camp Lake we didn't have to use it. The water level was so high we just paddled on through. We Stayed on the farthest East Camp site on Moose Camp, closest to the river. This was a good camp site, I would say a 4 star. It had great fishing off shore and seemed to be the home of many turtles. We had Grilled Cheese for Lunch and Beef Stroganoff for dinner. Both were wonderful again. The kids were very interested in the turtles so we caught a few and had us some turtle races and then put them back in the water. This was quite entertaining. The weather was starting to warm up from this day forward. Getting into the 70's for the highs , the Black flies starting coming out big time. They passed as the night came and the wind picked up a little bit. Maybe 5mph or so. Not much, but just enough. The Ticks were starting to show up now also, but thanks to Permathrin, we did not have to many problems.
