The morning was chilly (40 ish degrees), but there were fish to catch, so we ventured off. It was slow fishing, lots of little bass. I caught one nice walleye and kept in for brunch. After a few hours of fishing and only one decent fish, we headed back to our site to eat walleye and eggs. The wind picked up, so we stayed close to the site the rest of the day. Gathered firewood, took a nap, and relaxed. We love fishing, but relaxing in the BWCA is amazing. We must have saw over 5 or 6 groups of paddlers come through looking for sites and they were all taken. We also had some friends visit us throughout the day- the chipmunks. They were non-stop trying to get at our food. We also had a little bunny come into camp, I probably got 3 feet away from it! That evening we had an amazing sunset. We ate Tacos (might be a new tradition), had a cocktail, and watched the scenery.
