Waking up this morning, I determined that my intended route would take less time than I thought. I figured at my current pace, I would get to my pickup point one day early. I sent off a message to the bush plane company via my inreach asking if there was a pickup point farther along the creek they could use. After a few hours, they responded that my flight is confirmed for Saturday. Seemingly, either the inreach failed to send a message or they ignored my request.

With this newfound time due to the bush flight not being moved, I moved at a much more relaxed pace. This is difficult for me, I’m used to pushing myself for PRs or competing against others. It would take about 2 days of this relaxed pace before I actually started to enjoy the lazy river-type pace.

For camp tonight, I unknowing picked a spot right across from a beaver dam. The beaver made sure to remind me every so often that they weren’t happy with my presence.
