We didn’t get up until 7:20. Astonishing! Had a relaxing cup of coffee made with my Littlbug twig stove's maiden pot of water.

Biscuits and gravy with sausage for breakfast around 10:00 - super lazy morning. Biscuits cooked in an aluminum foil Dutch oven for the first time. Really good.

Out fishing around 11:00. Both caught smallness and lake trout while fishing for walleyes. I caught a lake trout in 8’ of water with a spinner blade and in 10-12’ with a wally diver. Crazy!

Paddled around for 4 hours trying to catch a walleye. We’re almost back to camp and I suggested making a pass past a point close to camp. I caught a smallmouth before we got to the point and we started back toward camp. Walter caught a 16-17” walleye 50 yards from camp - hallelujah!

Cleaned the fish, made a fire, had apple cider and fireball with a candy bar and some almonds.

Random observation: we’ve seen SO MUCH moose poop.

Sweet and sour walleye for dinner. Awesome as always.
