Sunday, September 04, 2022. Beaverhouse Lake to Beaverhouse parking. 1 portage (600 meters). 1.0 mile total travel.

We were up around 6:30 with a temperature of 41 showing on Tia's zipper tab thermometer. We were both in a down layer until we got on the water at 8:30 for the short paddle to the parking lot portage. The mist off the lake was magic, and we hope to return to the park next year—we've got our RABC! By 9:00 we were at the Outback with all our gear. We stowed gear, changed out of our stinky clothes, and secured the canoe to the roof rack, then headed for the border. We crossed into International Falls at noon, and stopped at one of the Voyager National Park access points.

Our 10-day trip totals look like 111+ miles total, 26 portages totaling 8530 meters (5.3 miles), and something like 54,500 paddle strokes each (106 miles paddled at 3.5 mph average, so 30.3 hours paddled at 30 strokes/minute average)--not too shabby for a couple 70+ year-olds!
