Up to a Beautiful Sunny day! Some coffee, oatmeal and we drilled a few holes to try our luck for some trout. It was a pretty slow go for the first part of the day, we then packed across the lake to try a few other spots and I finally caught the first Brookie, a whoppin' 6 inches! With a few quick more little 6 inchers to follow. Then it was back to camp to collect some firewood and have some dinner. Some Hot Chili to coat and warm up the insides and some warm drinks to end the day around a nice bonfire. The air temp started to drop fast that night with a nice day time temp around 20 degrees with no wind. We woke up that night with ice on the lake popping loudly. I then had to get up to get rid of some excess hydration and checked the thermometer I hung on the tree in camp and it said -25 degrees. Big change! Tossed on my extra fleece and back to my warm sleeping bag and off to dreamland.
