Sounds like a great trip, nice northern. Glad you got to see the aurora borealis too.
Eric sure takes good care of his Suburban. (from another Suburban driver)

Nice report! Thanks for sharing. Very nice for you guys that you were in town and not camped the night of the storm.
So weird..... my first trip to the bwca was to Jordan in the early 90's. I went with 2 friends and one of their friends that I didn't know. At first when I was reading your report I was thinking maybe you were Bill's friend and that I had been with you on that early 90's trip your referenced because of being from St. Cloud and your picture looks similar enough. But that was over 20 years ago and my memory of what the guy looked like may not be the best. I reread and realized there wasn't a Craig along on my first trip. Also, I read the other reports you posted and I went to school and church at St. Pauls growing up.

quote crumpman: "Jordan is one of my favorite lakes. It has been a destination of several family trips. The pictographs are difficult to see. I took some pictures of what I thought might be pictographs. When I got home and got a good look at my pictures I could "see" the pictographs. You can make out a small canoe(?) in the following picture. "
Yes ,I also can see the canoe and I remember seeing that when we went through the area in Sept. The picture in my report is of a different panel just a bit north of this "canoe" picture
