09/16/2018 07:44PMMN_Lindsey: "Camptober is my very favorite time to camp. Dang I kind of wish we were bringing our hot tent. That sounds lovely. EP 62 Clearwater? Not interested in being on a lake with motor boats. |

09/16/2018 05:24PM Camptober is my very favorite time to camp. Dang I kind of wish we were bringing our hot tent. That sounds lovely. With that said... hmmm... What about Clearwater? You wouldn't have to portage in..., but there are lots of ideas for daytrips off it. |

09/16/2018 12:14PM I've taken my Snowtrekker and stove into the BW in October and have used in several fall trips outside the BW. It basically means one extra carry across the portage. If you start getting those drizzly cold days, you will love having that dry heat. I've been surprised how much I like using my winter tent in the fall. As for where, maybe try one of those lakes you tend to avoid in summer because of crowds? It's so much less busy, there are lots of great options. |

09/16/2018 01:07AM Headed up 2nd week of October. Depending on the forecast we maybe taking my Snowtrekker Hot Tent with wood stove. If we do take the hot tent it will limit our portaging. Looking for suggestions for trip options you guys like for fall. Not sure if we will base camp or not. It depends on how long we go. |
