03/09/2014 03:00PM I enjoyed reading your report. I travel with my husband also. Some of our best memories have been in the BWCA. Nice photos and fish! |

" I'll take last year's cool summer over the scorcher we had in 2012 anytime! Funny thing is every time I take my wife there is some extreme weather involved. She's only been on a few trips with me, but has been on a couple of the warmest (97 degrees) and coldest (25 degrees and sleet) trips I've taken. Fortunately, she is not easily deterred and plans to go back again. |

03/07/2014 07:54AM Nice laker and congrats on the 20+ years of marriage. Last summer was a bit on the cool side up here. I never even brought my portable AC up from the basement. |

03/05/2014 11:50PMquote TeamTuna06: "Were all the lakers caught trolling? Care to enlighten as to productive lures?" Yes, we caught the lakers trolling ~40 feet down over water that was anywhere from 50-120 feet deep. They hit on a variety of spoons, but blue/silver was the most consistent producer, and that's what caught the big one. Finding the right spot wasn't always easy, but once a laker was caught, we could usually troll back through the same area and pick up a few more. |

03/05/2014 08:58PM Great report! I had my wife up on many of the same lakes 1 month earlier for her first trip. Were all the lakers caught trolling? Care to enlighten as to productive lures? Pat |
