Great report! Heck, the Bucky Burger alone must've made the trip worthwhile! ;-)

You covered a good bit of territory in a fairly short amount of time. Kinda strange you wouldn't have run into more people on that loop? Perhaps the fire damage is keeping people away? Maybe the recent weather? Maybe both?

Thanks for taking the time to share your story & photos.

Great trip! Nice that you saw no one for such a stretch. I'll have to try that loop. Thanks for posting.

Thanks everyone. Keep in mind, this was my first BW trip! I did notice bunching around Irsula and Ima and Disapointment. It was a different world the second day in.

I wasn't surprised at people skipping Lakes One - Four to get to Irsula. However, I guess I expected people to keep moving a bit. Many groups said the same thing to me, "Getting to a camp site, setting up for the week, and fishing". Its all good. Just makes me realize how important it is to get an early morning start the first day.

Hey ADKcanoe,
I believe we talked at the portage from Ahsub Lake to Disappointment Lake. I was in the green Wenonah Prism with a group of five headed to Thomas Lake. When upgrading to a kevlar solo canoe from my 50 lb fiberglass "tuff weave", I'll keep the Voyager in mind.
Oh, and thanks again for carrying my pack across the portage. I'll be sure to pay it forward.
