Thank you everyone for the help. I'm taking some family members who have never been there and hope to have some luck! I will try all the things above!!

Hi Greenfish,

I was on Ensign this past weekend. Friday was SUPER windy and as that was our entry day, we didn’t get to fish until the afternoon. It was tough to manage the wind (canoeing with kids) so we didn’t do great. I did get a big 19.5” SMB that day! Saturday the wind had settled and we hit the islands on the east side in the morning. We had some pretty good luck and some nice size fish as well. We had a 22” and 19” in the group and enough 15-18” for lunch. On Sunday we stayed closer to camp (in the middle of the lake) and found a spot and caught 21 walleyes in about 1.5 hrs!! Nothing big and all in the 15-17” range. But it was almost an every cast situation!! TGO method...red #4 hook was the key!!!

Happy to share more as others have with me!!

I would check this thread in the fishing forum.

Fishing thread

I was there last week and we were finding them on the east end 15 feet of water. Fish the islands.

Campsites are tight so review the maps and ratings. And get on the water early.

Has anyone been to Ensign yet? If so fishing report? We are putting in on the 24th at EP25. Just curious about the bite.
