. " I don't think trout season opens up till later in the month." did I read the regulations wrong Wallee ? Lakes within the bwca open January 1st and lakes partly within and outside the BWCA open January 17th ? Ive been wrong before and that would be a good one.

quote wvevans: "I am planning a trip , 5 or 6 Days the Week of January 6th. Solo so far. Not Sure where yet, maybe the Long hike to Partridge. Will have to see how the weather looks. Would suck to be all the way up there and then get 10 inches of sloppy wet snow. You would be in trouble. Trout fishing is the #1 Priority for me though or I would for sure be interested. I am interested... depends on location and timing. Mid January is a large range.

I can only go in January unfortunately. I do ice fish, but don't go while winter camping in the boundary waters. Depending on how old your sons our, you should definitely be aware of the risks of heading out into the wilderness without much winter camping experience, but it should not be worrisome! It is an awesome experience and I'm sure you all would have a great time. Cheers

I want to go, along with my son and two other partners but they can't go until hockey season is over in mid-February. Otherwise, I would totally take you up on this. I am interested in trying it, but worried about the many things I don't know. Do you fish?

I'll be heading out in mid January for a roughly a week or so, winter trekking and camping. I'm looking for those who may be interested.

You don't have to have a ton if any experience. This isn't a perfect time, but I'm a college student and can only go now over my break. I live in central Wisconsin and it's hard to find anybody who has an interest in this.
