My friend's foot needs another month to heal so I get to do a solo first, making it a nine or ten day trip, putting in on Ram lake May 11th, going to make a loop, want to atleast make it to Cherokee and back to Brower trout.

A few years ago we went Bower Trout to Swan day 1, Swan to South Temperance day 2, S. Temp. to Long Island day 3, Long I. to Banadad day 4, Banadad to Horseshoe day 5, layover day 6 and day 7 was intended to be Horseshoe to Ram but ended up being Horseshoe all the way out because there were no campsites left on Ram. Great trip.

Enjoy the solo, housty. It seems like you should easily make that loop unless weather is terrible for several days.

Might try to slip into frost for a night or two then work my way back.

Thanks boonie, didn't think I was going to get a chance to solo this year looking forward to it, plus it's way easier to plan and pack for.

First off I hope your friends foot heals well and quickly!
After that a congrats on another solo trip. Have a ball, maybe it'll be warmer than last years early trip!

You didn't trip your "friend" did you??? Sounds like a good trip. You are 100% correct solos are so much easier to pack for. Make sure you take your camera cause you take great pictures. Seriously though I hope your friends foot is healed enough to get to go up latter this year. FRED

I hope her foot gets better soon, I was looking forward to taking her, I'll just have to wait a little longer.

I have three batteries ready might get a couple more, when I take her I'm making her handle the food and I'm doing the gear.

Yes Sorry about the foot dilemma!! Nice you get to go on a trip though!
Seems like solo's are good for the soul. On the flip side, seems to me that solo's are soul cleansing and give you plenty of time to think and contemplate things. So not such a bad deal in my mind? Hope you really enjoy yourself and get to see some nice country.

Have fun. I hope the foot is coming along. I look forward to hearing about the trip. Little duckling and I will be going Bower Trout to Swan a few days after you exit.

I really enjoy the solo adventures, it's nice being able to go at the pace you want, plus I can make a way longer route and see way more, I just need a little more vacation time and I can do a nctry type trip, 30 plus days.
