Posted here, as it's specific to solo yokes:
I love the spring creek yoke clamps, but not how they seem to be always twisted around, and never in the right place. I tried hot glue, but it didn't want to stick. I found a much more elegant solution with 1/8" shock cord to both keep the clamp sprung open and keep it in the right place:

Now it's Easy on/ Easy off in no time at all. It also can now be clamped/removed with one hand, just not while you're trying to take a video of it without blocking the camera :)

Thanks for the tip. My trip in June has lots of short portages. I have always found that securing the clamps was a real PITA. I rigged mine up today, works like a champ.
