If anyone is tuning in to watch Minnesota Bound tomorrow night (2/3/19) you'll see a quick segment on Heritage Lakes. I was lucky enough to be invited on this winter camping one-night stay. I'm excited to see it!

The two loudest sounds known to man: a gun that goes bang when it is supposed to go click and a gun that goes click when it is supposed to go bang.

Kawishiwashy: "No electronics except drones, ha ha!!"
No electronics, no motors, bag limits are half. There are only two of these “heritage fisheries” in the state, the other one is Annie Battle Lake, in Glendalough State Park. Huge panfish in that lake. My son caught a monster sunfish there, we fed the family on 6 sunnies! Glendalough has four “canoe-in” campsites, it has become an annual trip for my family.

I'll be visiting that park this summer. We are having a family reunion there. My brother and I will both likely have our canoes along and do some paddling on that lake. I didn't know it was a "heritage" lake. I have never fished on it.

Bill said that "Black Bass" was once renowned for larger panfish. My sense is that it would be more effectively fished in the summer.
Annie Battle has been on my bucket list for a long time.....
A lot of people had not heard of heritage lakes so it was fun to be part of an educational piece.
Thanks for checking it out!
