I took the canoe off its rack today to prep for a camping trip on friday, noticed this nice little ding that one of kids must have put in the canoe, it is smaller than a quarter, and doesn't go all the way through, its just the top layer (outfitter edition, so it has the extra layer of kevlar). Should I be patching this before the trip, or not worry about it?

thanks!

Yes.

If you have the supplies and time, absolutely. An easy quick fix.

If not, I'd slap a good quality piece of duct tape on it and repair it when you get back.

5 minute epoxy and you'll most likely never think of it again.

Definitely patch the hole before you go. This will prevent dirt and water from getting in there which might make a patch harder to do down the road. Your repair doesn't have to be a work of art just functional so don't be afraid to do it.
