I was checking the SPOT display and the new version might take some time to get used to. Not sure If I like it? Time will tell? Have you figured it out yet?

I just set up my SPOT today for the first time so I don't have anything to compare it to. However, I was amazed at the amount of time it took me to clunk around trying to understand everything. I successfully tracked a hike today so I think I have it figured out.

What are some of the biggest changes from what it used to be?

I agree - it took too long to set up the map and then to 'learn' how to use it. I haven't used the SPOT in the last 30 days so I don't have any data but it looks like it is better than it used to be.

I use an old SPOT Gen 1 - this new display system has good maps but I don't like the computer display screen. It is either closed or open takes up half of the screen and has not way to resize it.
