Those colors are incredible! Are they real or did you tweak them with software?

This is a bike by a sign. It was unlocked when I left, and still there unlocked 4 days later when I returned.

I had a bad camera setting (enhanced color) on the original. Then I had limited choices when I tweaked it, so this was the best I could do.

Dang it! I was hoping there was a moment where a mite of the world actually looked like that.

Spartan1 and I don't seem to take our pictures by signs. Having a granddaughter with us seemed to change that.

Not quite BWCA, but some cool signs we saw along the 4,200 mile trip to Alaska....

And another memorable sign after a really enjoyable trip to Bissett Manitoba with my son and his boy scout troop.

That’s funny, I dragged my junker bike into the woods and locked it up about 20 feet from that same sign when I did my solo trip starting from Lake One and exiting Snowbank last year. Apparently I didn’t need to do that. Lol.

Lol. Yea that's a decent bike.Redline is a solid brand. Other than some missing bar tape. It seems to be in good shape. That seatbag looks like a Frost River. I would still lock and hide my bike when using it for a shuttle.

Here is another. Food was not all that great. I guess the fact they did not know how to spell, "Bar-B-Que" should have been a big clue:

It's a sign in more ways than one.

It's steeper than you think.

More than one person has taken the wrong turn here...

1970 Voyageur's highway trip from Gull Lake to Lake Superior. I don't know if the sign on the Height of Land Portage is still maintained. I seem to remember it there in 1979 when we repeated this trip.

This was a Scout trip with eleven members (there was no maximum group size back then). The adult of the trip was my father and we crossed the portage on Father's Day. I gave him a clay pipe and small pouch of tobacco.

Superior Hiking Trail, as I consulted the map for elevation on Sawmill Dome and then on to Section 13, Fall 2019

Hiking with my CCS Rucksack! Not gonna lie, it was a beast to carry for 60 miles, and I've now switched to a Deuter (frame) pack, but it matched my outfit fantastically and I'm always happy to support a local company!

Closest mountains to Minnesota. Nice place, bugs are eating the forest though

This was a lot of work. Late March, 4 feet of snow. 2-3 miles. The forest service had this sign for Demo. We saved it.

I never realized how many I have of that web camera on Sheridan St. in Ely. It was a tradition for awhile. I'd call my wife back home and she would save a few screenshots from when it refreshed every minute or so. It's weird just standing there for a few minutes. LOL

The pic by the tire sign is my gear when my car broke down on the way up from Chicago. This was a small town in Wisconsin where I was towed not far from Black River Falls. The mechanic was fair and replaced the radiator. I picked up the car after my 10 day trip. My nephew bailed me out and drove down from Superior to pick me up and then return me to the car. This was 2006.

They're a lot more friendly and cuddly than that, but sure. :P (It's an Alaskan Malamute, and I actually have two of them now.) Sure beats hauling your own sled though!
