Great report! Thanks for sharing and glad you guys had a relatively good time. When I saw the title I was debating what went wrong...
Fishing in current/rapids is always a good idea. Eddy falls is a cool spot, glad you found some good campsites. Getting from the SAK to the Indian portage in a half day or so is moving along pretty well.
Now you know a lot more to plan for your next one! We also got a tow to/from LaTourell's and we liked them as well.

Looked like you made the best of your trip.
It was cool that you were flexible and called off Kek in the face of white caps.
Sounds like a real bad fall.
I fell on slippery rocks after it had been raining on my first trip. I banged my shin and it hurt for weeks.
Thanks for taking the time to write it up and post the pics.

Thank you for taking the time to share your story. It's too bad things went a little South on you but you kept a good attitude while understand your limitations. Hope you make it back to the B-Dub soon, this time without the wrong kind of excitement.

Had to check this out, because Andy "Beavers" is a member. I did a few trips with him and knew he and his family were intending to spend some time in the BWCA this summer.
Good trip report anyway!

Great laugh out loud trip report. I love hearing about people's first experiences and it sounds like you kept your sense of humor...the sign of a true wilderness traveler. I look forward to more of your adventures.

Thanks for the great trip report, sounds challenging, but fun. My wife and I are going to do a similar route in July 2021, probably in reverse order though. We also may go a little farther east up to Ottertrack if the weather permits.
