I live in Southern Minnesota and we are starting to see the beginning of fall colors here. Still 99% green, but some leaves on the ground. Does anyone have an update on colors up north? We put in on the 20th.

Just spent last week up on the gunflint trail. We definitely noticed leaves changed from our arrival day to our departure day. The area up there is forecast to be frost free for a few weeks so the colors should linger

Also going in the 20th....same time as last year. Colors were just starting last year....was hoping for a little more this year.

We were on the Gunflint from September 6-12 and we could notice changes in just that time, but I wouldn't call it really colorful.

However, on Sunday the 6th we traveled out in the woods to Wild Country Maple Syrup to get our yearly supply for ourselves and gifting. There was quite a bit of nice color in those beautiful maple woods. This was west of Lutsen.

You should have color to enjoy by the 20th.

This is very good news! I'm colorblind myself but my wife LOVES fall colors.

We didn’t take a canoe trip, just a cabin week. Not much of interest about canoe-tripping.

I noticed another frost last night, heading north today and pumped for some great weather and color.

Also going in the 20th. Can't wait to see the burn areas and hoping to see some tamaracks turning.

The colors on the maples are vibrant yellows, reds and bright orange.

The other trees are starting to change, just not as much yet.

The brushy bushes (many of them) are turning red, deep red/purplish and yellow). Some of the different colored wildflower Asters are more visible now too.

That's a nice photo.

Colors around Ely quite vibrant, especially in the morning or late in the day when the "west coast smoke filter" dials up the vivid setting. Maples and underbrush off to a fast start. Birch and aspen waiting in the wings.

09/23/2020 08:40AM
Spent Sunday - Tuesday on North Temperance. Birch changing fast, but on Brule and the drive down to Luten Birch mostly turned and Maple brilliant reds and oranges. I will add a photo later.

Had to laugh as I met someone later that day stopped and took almost the same picture. That spot just screamed STOP!
