What time of year? Now, easily a week. Lots of good preservatives in them :)

If you freeze them first and keep them frozen until as near your departure as possible, you would probably be safe for several days. Depends upon the weather. Once they get warm through, I would be afraid of them. Listeriosis is the main culprit here, and it's no fun.

I have done this with both hot dogs and brats. I freeze them and then wrap them in newspaper. However, I have not gone past the second night with this.

These days I bring almost all dehydrated. One of my favorite dishes is beanie weanies , hot dogs and heinz beans that are dehydrated.

How juvenile can you be? :)
Now I have a crazy craving and it's your fault.
