I know there are a LOT of battery / depthfinder threads here. I'm overwhelmed by all of it.

I'm not good with electronics and I was just wondering if the following battery pack would work for a Lowrance Elite4?

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07WP1CYYW/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=AJJYA8M5YMCKV&psc=1

Seems like most people use packs of ten AA batteries-- this only has eight.
But, they could connect to one another and become a sixteen pack very easily. I'm not sure worried about weight-- a depth finder is worth the trouble. But, if I could get a premade battery pack like this I would go for it.

Let me know your thoughts if you want! Thanks.

I'm always going for the top-end option, so I think those battery packs are garbage. 1....They develop trash which begs for littering, 2... they have shit capacity and 3.....Alkaline power is garbage.

Expensive but I suggest a LiFePO3 battery. Get a 6 amp hour battery, or a 9 amp hour battery, that would be more than enough for a trip's worth of juice, and you're going to be saving space and weight going with a better power source like lithium. Not to mention when it's dead you just plug that bad boy in, charge it up and go again.

For what it's worth, I have a 15 amp hour battery that charges every electrical item on the trips I go on, I could likely get away with a 6 or 9 amp hour battery but I like the extra reserves for whatever I want. I have noticed I've never drained my batteries down completely...My friends will come over and bum my power for their cameras...phones...GPS...Long story short my lithium ion batteries are there to back up everyone's stuff when their charging solutions have long since died.

I recommend Bioenno power.

The reason I recommend bioenno power is that I have a few products from them, one battery after years of service didn't accept a charge anymore....They're website touts a 50,000+ charge cycle, I knew I was no where near that...I emailed them...They asked 1 question...What my address was, and they sent me a new battery no questions asked. They stand by their reputation, and their products are incredible. Other reason I recommend them is that they just flat out have excellent customer service, I have done a number of custom DIY projects using their products over the yeas, and they have always been great with helping me with anything I need to know.
