Love the look of the solo canoe, near the shore with sun setting. Beautiful coloring.
I've stayed in Wood once for a solo, just 2 nights. Rained the whole time, 50 degrees max during the day. Still enjoyed it & the pair of loons and the pair of trumpeter swans that would come out of the deep bay across from my camp. (They came out as a pair of loons and then later as the swans.)
Have also camped at Indiana with my daughter many years ago. So long ago we took the 4-Mile truck portage which was still running.
Had 2 nice nights there, good bass fishing for me as well. Guys were catching some nice pike on the northern side of the lake.
On the way into Indiana we were "spooked" by a huge grouse flying towards us from further up the portage. First you hear "swoop, swoop" and then it flew barely over our heads!
Thanks for your story, brought back some good memories of my trips.

Yes it was. I didn't know Indiana had LMBs until the fisherman I mentioned told me. Still lots of fun. All bass give you a good tussle.

Thanks for the kind words, bobber. Got lucky with the lighting on those pictures.

You're welcome, VN. Glad I stirred up some memories for you. I also spooked a huge grouse coming out on the Wood to parking lot portage. Biggest one I've ever seen!
