Three others and I are looking for a last minute trip back into the BW from 10/4 - 10/8 to see some fall colors. We are looking for an outfitter with a bunkhouse for an overnight prior to put-in, boats and shower at take-out.

Look up outfitters in ely or Gran Marias on the net. I’m sure there are a lot of outfitters they have openings. For scenery I would be more inclined to go towards Gran Marias.

Definitely need to call around many outfitters close by the end of september

Look up the outfitter link/list here on the site. They help support the site and are often the best voted ones anyway. What side of the park are you wanting to see? The east side has more hills and vistas if that's what you're hoping to see or photograph. Rockwood, Voyageur, Tuscarora etc would all fit your bill I think but just start checking around.

We've been able to book bunkhouses well into October. You shouldn't have a problem finding one available.

Lucky ones-->3 others & PennyD! If I focus intensely, I can almost smell the crisp morning air. (+/- smoke)
