August will be my 1st time at the BW. My travel partner has been there many times thru the years but has tended to go with the familiar. We'd both like to explore something new and different, self-planning, but are limited in that we need to go through Eli. We plan to be out for about a week.

We probably won't get our permit request in by the 26th so we'll be interested in entry points that don't fill up quickly. Suggestions? Which entry points? What lakes?

What do you want to do or see? Way too many options still. Fishing? For what? Waterfalls? Big lakes, smaller lakes, rivers, pictographs, etc.

Lesser traveled areas usually have harder or longer portages or fewer campsites to pick from.
