Sweet ride! I like the fact it’s not a pack boat. Great solo unless you’re toting a dog like me.

Stunning! 15-15.5 feet is my favorite solo length.

It looks pristine.

Thanks, all. Now it's a road trip from Minneapolis to Detroit area to get it-and waiting for ice out!

Congratulations! What a find.

I thought I saw you paddling one of these up on the Red Cedar a few years ago. Are you building a whole fleet ?

That was a Shearwater-which I sold last fall.

Swift is building some crazy beautiful canoes. Americans haven’t really been exposed to their manufacturing techniques yet. The canoe in this post is an example, even a bit modest by comparison to some of their canoes.

weight in the 20s?

cyclones30: "weight in the 20s?"

27 according to the owner. I pick it up on April 9 and will check the weight when I get it home.

Not many US dealers; none, really, west of Rutabaga in Madison. There are a few dealers out East with most in Ontario. I agree; their boats are beautiful. Would like to find a used Keewaydin 17 (tandem) as new they are really spendy.

Frenchy, you can store it at my house. I'm in Woodbury and you can use it whenever you like. Just call in advance to be sure it's there first.

Ha! Just had a nice chat with Deb; she may even accompany me to get it in a couple weeks. Now, when I start looking for a new-to-me tandem...

Boy, my first thought was not again! Good to hear she’s on board. You have to wonder what she bought then... haha!
Well, off to finish breakfast... this guy tasted pretty good! It’s a beef stick what do you think I am?...

I was going to suggest the same thing. All I charge is the ability to use it!

Wow, that is a find! Don't even know what you paid but I would've jumped on that in a heartbeat. Im guessing it wasn't' for sale for too long. You hardly ever see a used one for sale.
Swift's are awsome canoes with so many options. It's too bad more people in the US don't have access to them. But if you know what you want they will deliver.

(Cannibal) Ben! Good to hear from you. I have not been on this board for quite a spell, but it is time to "get back on it" as Neil Young would say. Hope you are doing well.

Congrats on your new hull Frenchy. Glad you’re with a solo canoe again. Hope to see that out on the water this season.

At one point I was up to 5 kayaks and two canoes. That's when my wife cut me off. A couple of friends offered to put any additional canoes or kayaks I picked up in their garages!
