What does this have with canoeing? If you heard us at Canoecopia, you might recognize Caitlin Evanson in this pic. She just signed on with a Pittsburgh based band called Ghost Hounds and after opening for Garth Brooks in Cincinnatti, they are heading to Europe to open 3 concerts for the Stones.
She loves paddling, Canoecopia and is one of us. This is a pic of their gig in PA this last Saturday.
And believe it or not, if she's available for Canoecopia next year, she wants to play it. I'm not holding my breath, but we're still writing songs so I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Absolutely amazing. Watching Caitlin perform at Canoecopia, we realized very quickly that she has enormous talent. What a cool opportunity for her!

LOL, Boonie. I am beginning to look like him!

Rock on, Jerry, but don't trip over any roots! ;) I'd love to see/hear a video of her performance with Ghost Hounds, if you know of any.

Hey Jerry - how'd yesterday's blood transfusion go?
"Enjoy every sandwich"

Yep, that’s how it works. Headliner at the top in big print, and the warmup band gets a mention at the bottom.

Jerry - just hope she remembers you when she makes it big time. I love watching The Voice because I think that they encourage average people to dream and shoot for the stars. One of my favorite moments on the show from several years back was when Blake didn't turn his chair during the auditions but everyone else did. Blake stared at this guy for the longest time with this look on his face then when they all had a chance to ask the performer questions the guy says, "I toured with you one year". Blakes face turned beet red and everyone started laughing and Blake says "Dang, I knew you looked familiar". That was a priceless moment.

Thanks for that thought, Joel. We chat almost every day even now and still have songwriting appointments via FaceTime. Besides, she's already hit the "big time" of sorts in that she previously toured as vocalist and fiddle player for Ringo Starr, toured for 7 years with Taylor Swift and sang on her records and also did a 1 year world tour with Shakira, so she's already been up there.

I think the Stones would have some great songs for Canoecopia:
"I Can't Get No Satisfaction With Freeze Dried Foods"
"Brown Sugar on my Oatmeal"
"Jumpin' Jackfish"
"You Can't Always Catch the Fish That You Want"
"Honky Tonk Women Paddlers"
"Gimme Shelter Under A CCS Tarp"
Your turn
We all have to believe in something. I believe I'll go paddle.
