This one's for trstuck. The previous one was a Bending Branches Java. I love the look of my Sanborn paddles (this is a Gillis), but wish they were slightly more durable though as I caused some wood to flake off my straight shaft in the first day of its life on the water just by bracing it on the gunnel for the occasional "Canadian stroke".
Camera's facing northeast - taken shortly after a short portage into this lake. All portages into this lake are pretty short, actually - around 25 rods or less! It's not exactly easy to get to, time-wise... but most typical routes to here don't involve any big (>200 rod) portages.
I won't drag this out too much longer as I want others to share before we conclude the game for the season. :)

Yeah, Bending Branches makes some lovely paddles. These are really nice, too! All are a bit too $$ for me.
This is a cool lake! Is it Gijikiki?
Top-water smallies are a slice of heaven.

I don't have any other pictures that will help, sadly, but I'd like to pass this on, so here come the clues!
* This rocky lake is not on or near the Granite River (it's further west, but east of Fernberg Road).
* It has 4 campsites.
* I'd guess most people pass through this lake instead of camping on it.
* Reminder: someone else has already guessed a conjoined lake (a very popular one), that this lake sometimes get lumped into, but is considered by many to be its own lake.
Sorry for boring y'all. If no one gets it by ~10pm tonight, I'll pass it on to the closest guesser. I thought for sure that pinch point clue this morning would do it - that little area etched itself into my mind and I imagined it did for others as well.

Lawnchair107: "Where you heading to?"
Entering at South Kawishiwi for 5-6 days (not sure yet), doing a loop around the Kawishiwi Triangle and ending with 1-2 nights on Gabbro (if I can find any open!). I haven't been to that area yet but I'm pretty excited for the fishing and photo opportunities. It looks like a gorgeous area!

Second week of June, a little later than usual for my spring trips, but hoping to avoid the cotton/pollen craziness from last year, and with the late ice-out, water temps will be lower, so a little extra time to warm up will hopefully get bass and pike in the chewing mood!
