I've been looking at going in to Crocodile lake for my daughters 1st trip. I am just curious if anybody has had an issue with not finding a campsite when permits have been taken for quite a few days prior to yours. If every permit is taken for a week and there is only 4 campsites and groups prior to you are all staying multiple days, where do you camp at if its full? Do you leave and go home? I planned on entering in through East Bearskin with a Crocodile Lake only permit. Thanks everyone!

We were there in early June, permits were taken for the days before we entered and we were able to find a campsite. I think 3 of the 4 sites were taken although we never ventured into the eastern side of the lake. We found the first site open by the portage and just took it. I didn't feel like paddling all the way to the east side of the lake only to possibly find those sites taken, so we just took the first site. I think the 2nd site you come to if you come in from East Bearskin is the nicer one of the two on the west side of the lake
